FIDM Orientation… It’s Really Happening!!

I had my orientation at FIDM yesterday and it got me SO SO SO excited to start classes tomorrow! Seriously, I felt happier about and more hopeful for my future career than I have in a long, long time (or perhaps ever!). I had nothing but an amazing gut feeling that I was in the right place and following the right path. I got home with a huge smile on my face, a bunch orientation materials and supplies, and an urge to blast some music and dance around the house like an idiot (which I did, of course).

The orientation also made me a slightly apprehensive about how much WORK it is going to be outside of class (the head of my program said some classes can be up to 10-15 hours of work each outside of class in a given week!). I am going to be a busy girl! However, I keep telling myself two things:

1. It will be FUN work! The projects are going to be a ton of effort but I will be putting time and energy into something I love. It’s not like I will be spending that time waiting in line at the DMV or doing dishes. ;)

2. I am the kind of person that thrives when I am super busy. (Let’s hope history repeats itself!)
