More Pinspiration for Our Bathroom

Once we got the Beatles picture last week, my brain has been at work coming up with some ideas for the bathroom. Enter Pinterest, my dear sweet love. I was able to find some photos that seem to capture bits and pieces of what we want.

We are going for a grey with yellow accents theme like the one above (sans the barn door obviously and a little less yellow)!

I love the light/medium grey wall color in this one. It looks great with the white (which we have a lot of in the bathroom that we can’t change).  I definitely want a brighter yellow though.

While we want grey/white to be the main colors and yellow to be the accent color, we also wanted to have 1 little surprise accent piece in this blue color.  We stopped by the local Habitat ReStore last weekend for desk supplies with no luck.  But it wasn’t a total bust because we got a little something for the bathroom that will be perfect in a bright blue!  I won’t tell you what it is… you will just have to wait and see! :)

Love Love Love

Happy belated Valentine’s day!  I thought it would be fun to have a little photo recap of our Valentine’s day (since posting everything yesterday would have ruined the surprise).

Beautiful “Flowers… by Walker” delivered to the office!  So gorgeous and most haven’t even opened yet so they will last f-o-r-e-v-e-r like my birthday flowers.

The card I made for Walker with a DIY wine cork heart stamp (see below)

DIY wine cork stamp: draw the shape on top of the cork and use a razor blade to remove the pieces around it.  The rougher the cork edge, the more textured the stamp!
Amazing vintage owl locket ring that Walker gave me!  Spoiler alert: there is a picture of us smooching inside :)
Walker’s love note to me and the book & comics I got him

I hope you all had a wonderful Valentine’s Day!

Bathroom Inspiration

Earlier today, Walker and I stopped by a really awesome soda pop shop called Rocket Fizz and they had a stack of retro cardboard concert flyers. At only $6.99 a pop (haha soda shop pun intended), we couldn’t resist picking one out!

While I wish we could have gotten like 10 of them, we don’t have much empty wall space.  But we decided this yellow Beatles poster would be the perfect inspiration for our bathroom makeover!  We are thinking perhaps a yellow and gray theme with some other fun pops of color? More bathroom ideas to come! :)
